Christmas is a time for giving. We love to give, it is really more fun than receiving most of the time, but someone or some dog, has to wrap all those gifts. It looks like the job of gift wrapping has fallen on my paws once again this year!
It looks like I have lots of supplies to work with, and this year, we got several bigger gifts, which means less to wrap, but gift wrapping some of these odd sized gifts will be a challenge for sure! Two of my necessities are the scissors and the tape dispenser which fits handily right around my paw.
Sometimes, gift wrapping is a bit tricky which means an assistant can come in handy. I asked Bailie to help me out this year, but that was a mistake. She only wanted to play hide and seek in the wrapping paper! No help at all.
Much to my surprise, cat bro Bert wanted to help out. He was Johnny on the spot and ready to work!
The two of us surveyed the pile of supplies and gifts trying to come up with a plan of attack.
I was checking inside the shopping bags to see what all might be hiding in there. Bert thought I wanted to play and was about to pounce on me while I was looking in the bag. I knew his cattitude was too good to be true! He couldn’t just help out, he had to get into some mischief!
Sometimes the gift wrapping gets real frustrating. The tape gets stuck in my paw fur, my claws puncture the wrapping paper, I accidentally wrap the cat in the box and have to start all over again, it can be tough work.
Cat bro Bert was pretty proud of our joint wrapping results.
At the end of the project, I was pretty proud of our work as well. I think Mom will be pleased.
Since cat bro Bert figured we were finished, he headed off for a cat nap which gave me the perfect opportunity to wrap my gift to my cat siblings this year. I entered a contest for cat treats over at Pawsitively Pets and won! This is awesome because I don’t have to spend my hard earned cash on the cats! I got the bag of treats in the mail and it came in a cute little cat sized stocking. I wrapped it all up in some pretty red paper. I know Sophie and Bert will enjoy the treats!
That’s a wrap for today! Just a few more days and it will be Christmas!
